Are You A Multitasker?

There’s no evidence that anyone can do 3 things well at once.  That’s just one of the interesting things that I learned from listening to this interview on ScienceFriday.com.  It’s all about “The Myth of Multitasking,” which I think is a very accurate title.  I’ve said before that I think multitasking is impossible.  Sure you can do more than one thing at once — but there is no way you can do it well.

If you disagree — I’d love to hear from you!  Give the interview a listen and let me know what you think!

Multitasking well is a myth. It creates anxiety and stress which result in less productivity not more. Mistakes are more prevalent with multitasking which takes more time to correct. List making and staying on target is the key to doing a job well done. Lisa Brateman, Psychotherapist, New York.

Hi Lisa – thanks for your comment! I totally agree. Although it is very difficult to focus on one thing at a time with all the distractions around us – especially the digital ones!
