The Power of Lists

When you put a task down on paper – you set the intention to reach that goal. No matter if we’re talking about doing the best job at work or at home — lists will help you be more successful.  From grocery shopping, planning events, keeping track of your projects or going on vacation — a well-organized list will help you do more.

Recently I was asked to give some list-making tips and tricks on “The Joyful Organizer” Internet radio show.

Take a listen — we cover these topics and more:

  • Strategies for staying on task during the day
  • Preparing for meetings and presentations
  • Why lists work for almost any task
  • My favorite kinds of lists
  • Tips for non-list makers

Listen to my List-Making Webinar

I recently participated in a webinar on FriendsHealthconnection.com – it was a total blast! We talked about list making at home, work, for loved ones, for doctor’s appointments, techniques to turn kids into list makers and so much more! This is a link to the audio from the class — I hope you’ll visit and check it out.

It’s amazing how something as simple as a list can really help you focus, keep on task and get more done. Check out the class and please let me know what you think. If you have any questions or would like me to write about a particular topic — feel free to drop me an email: paula@listproducer.com.

I’m the “Blogger of the Week”!

I was lucky enough to be featured as the “Blogger of the Week” on Terry Jaymes “Alive” radio show on KIRO-FM in Seattle this past weekend. Terry and I chatted about my list making ways and how this blog started.

Please listen here and skip ahead to 20:51 for the beginning of my segment.

It was really fun and different to be on the other side of the interview. Usually I’m the one asking the questions — but Terry was terrific and engaging. This was the first time I had listened to Terry’s show and I think a lot of you will really like it. Terry is a big goal maker and even wrote a book about it to help people reach his or her full potential.

On his website the show is described as, “The real man’s approach of self-betterment” – advice, personal stories, edgy, humorous and honest – Terry Jaymes ALIVE is for anybody who chooses to live an extraordinary life.”

I’m all for that! Give it a listen on KIRO-FM’s website every Saturday night from 6pm-8pm Eastern. I’m so excited to have been a part of it!
