18 Ways to Cheer Yourself Up

It happens to the best of us — sometimes you’re just not feeling yourself and need a little pick-me-up.  For the most part I’m a pretty positive person but there are times when I have a tough day or week.

You don’t have to rely on others to put you in a good mood.  There are so many things you can do yourself to turn the day around.  Here are a few of my favorite ways to cheer myself up when I’m feeling a little down:

1. Laugh

2. Organize something

3. Do yoga or some kind of exercise

4. Smile

5. Go shopping

6. Eat dark chocolate

7. Learn something new

8. Play with a dog

9. Plan a vacation

10. Call a friend

11.Read a favorite magazine or book

12. Make a gratuity list

13. Get a massage

14. Take a walk in the park

15. Watch funny YouTube videos

16. Sleep

17. Buy yourself flowers

18. Get a haircut
