Stop Reading, Start Listening to Podcasts
If you follow this blog you probably know how much I’m loving podcasts these days. It’s such an easy way to get smarter! Podcasts are just so convenient for my commute as I spend most of my time walking, making it difficult to read. Podcasts are a great way to learn on the go and make the most of your limited free time.
Here is a list of my favorite podcasts:
Happier with Gretchen Rubin – I’m always inspired by Gretchen and she’s a list maker too so you know how I feel about that! She’s the author of The Happiness Project and the soon to be released book, Better Than Before. This happiness guru always seems to have the right answers and the best ways to love your life. This podcast is new and Gretchen and her sister host it together. It’s worth a listen for sure.
Glambition Radio – Ali’s podcast is aimed at women entrepreneurs, but it’s great for anyone whose business minded. Each week as she interviews all sorts of successful women including fascinating authors and forward thinking CEOs. I’ve listened to every single episode, which come out once a week. And I’m lucky enough to be featured on an upcoming podcast. Check it out on March 10th.
James Altucher – James is a successful entrepreneur, investor and board member, who has written over 10 books! I’m totally addicted to his podcast. He interviews experts like Tim Ferriss, Seth Goden, Arianna Huffington, Gabrielle Bernstein and Tony Robbins, While I don’t think his delivery as a host is great — I think he asks amazing questions when he finally spits them out. He’s a really smart guy who always has very thoughtful ideas to share with his guests. Whether it be a business idea or something from a book he’s read — you always know you’ll get some quality thoughts from him. Plus his guests are pretty amazing.
Startup – I came to this podcast a roundabout way. It’s host is a guy named Alex Blumberg — who was a producer on the podcast This American Life. The founders of that podcast also started Serial — the podcast that consumed days of my life. So naturally I became obsessed with all of these things. And in my research I came across Startup. It’s a series about what happens when someone who knows nothing about business starts one. Alex decided to go out on his own and start his own podcasting company. Great for anyone whose thought about trying to start their own business, but hasn’t yet taken that leap.
What are some of your favorite podcasts? I’m always looking for new material.
