Check Out My Summer Lists

Now that I’ve got you started on your summer to-do list…it’s time to check out some seasonal lists.  I had the great pleasure of creating three lists for VMV Hypoallergenics’ INSKIN Magazine!

The magazine is distributed in their stores around the world and also digitally on their website.  You may remember hearing about them from me — I’ve been good friends with their CEO, Laura Verallo de Bertotto, forever and even highlighted her as one of my Featured List Producers.

I hope you enjoy these lists in the magazine:

  • Throwing a summer soiree (page 3)
  • Finding the fountain of youth (page 10)
  • Planning the perfect vacation (page 14)

Spring Cleaning Your Over-Stuffed Purse

Recently I was the subject of an intervention.  It’s true — I was out for drinks with my friend Brian and he said “we’re worried about you — you need help.”  Before you start to worry about me — he was talking about my purse! It’s overstuffed and weighing me down. haha!

OK– I will admit that I have an overstuffed bag. I like to be prepared for just about anything — but my poor shoulder is paying the price. So right there in the bar — Brian decided to dig through my bag and help me eliminate.  You’ll never believe what he found: Read more

DIY Dry-Erase Frame & 10 Ways to Use It

Creativity comes in many forms.  For me — writing is my creative outlet. But give me a glue stick and some glitter and I’ll definitely make a mess — not a masterpiece.  I like crafts — but mostly when other people do them!  My guest blogger Molly is a whiz with such things and she’s whipped up this post about how to make a dry-erase frame yourself for your lists!  Love that!  I think I’ll even attempt this one myself 🙂

Like many of you, I’ve been making lists for as long as I can remember. From what I need to pack for a weekend getaway to my observations on a sunny day, I can’t seem to stop scribbling on notepads, post-its, napkins, envelopes—well, just about everything! And while I have invested in my own cutesy stationary in the past, I’ve always wanted something easier and budget-friendly. Read more

Disorganized CEO Keeps It Together With Lists

One of my favorite things about this blog is featuring successful list producers each month and showing all of you how “cool” list making can be.  If it weren’t for lists — this month’s list producer may not be the woman she is today!  Seriously!  I met Laura Verallo de Bertotto, who is the CEO of VMV Hypoallergenics, on a shoot for almost five years ago.  I interviewed her mother, who is a dermatologist, about their skincare line.  We quickly became friends and have stayed in touch ever since even though Laura lives in the Philippines.  We share a love of lists and The Checklist Manifesto. Making Visual Lists With Pinterest

There are lots of different ways to make lists — handwritten, apps, typed out in documents, by calling your voicemail, and even by drawing pictures.  The website Pinterest.com is changing the list-making game.  I have been dedicating some real time to getting to know it and it’s fabulous.  It’s so much fun and once you start you won’t be able to stop!  My guest blogger Jennifer Anastasi is addicted!

Go Paperless With Pinterest

by Jennifer Anastasi

Have you heard of Pinterest? I’m a do-it-yourself, crafty type so I always have a list of project ideas a mile long. Previously, I thought I was pretty organized by keeping my ideas in a 3-ring binder and going through them every few months to weed out things that I’ve done or no longer plan to do. However, I’ve ditched the binder since discovering Pinterest. Seriously, I am in love with Pinterest and it has been so much fun to use it to organize my vision boards, craft ideas and more online! No more magazine clippings, random notes and paper scraps! I’ve gone paperless with Pinterest and you can too. Read more
