Organize Everyone’s Birthday

How do you remember everyone’s birthday? It’s really difficult but if you have a system in place you can be the star of the family or your circle of friends!

I’m going to let you in on a little secret.  I use a list to track everyone’s birthdays throughout the year.  I document all the birthdays and I have reminders emailed to me, so I know weeks in advance if a birthday is coming up so I can plan accordingly.

Now that I’m totally addicted to my iPhone — I need an app for everything!  So I went in search of one and I found Birthday Calendar.  This is essential if you want to be organized and have everyone’s birthday in one spot. Read more

List, Lists & More Lists

I can’t help myself — I have to make lists about everything.  Planning trips, buying gifts, things to do, goals I have, restaurants I like, questions to ask, etc. etc. etc.  So I’ve compiled some of my lists (and guests’ lists too) all in one place as a reference for you.

Check out my lists page and feel free to print them up and take them with you — to look for an apartment, to buy a bra, be a better parent or pack for a trip.  I’m always working to improve and add to these lists.  Please let me know if there are any you’d like me to find for you and I’ll track down the best expert with some tips.  Or I’ll make the list myself — being that I love it so much.  Hope you find these helpful!

Never Lose A Receipt Again!

With this post I’m going to share two of my new favorite things.  An organizing app called Lemon and a fabulous website I’ve just found called Digitwirl.com.  I’ve mentioned Lemon before in my posts about must-have apps.  It’s a great way to keep track of all your paper receipts and go digital!  No more clutter and you will always know just where to find every receipt.

Digitwirl.com is a really great site that dishes on new technology to make your life easier — just like Lemon.  Carley Knobloch features apps, websites and products in a fun and useful way.  Check out Carley’s take on Lemon!

Last-Minute Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

by Teri Gault

Moms really appreciate useful gifts, especially for those things she wouldn’t buy for herself. Fresh cut flowers are nice, but fade and die. Give her something that will last, and that she can enjoy for a long time. Moms also appreciate gifts of time, which is a mother’s love language. So you’ll find some of my recommendations are “handmade” or require a little time. Your gift of time is the best message of love to mom, plus it saves money! Read more

Get Some Time Back and Still Get Things Done

Time…it’s what everyone complains about and what we wish we had more of. But maybe you’re not using your time wisely enough. This quote makes me chuckle,

“If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?”

Ha – I’ll tell you who said it in a minute.

TaskRabbit.com is a service that will help you get everything on your to-do list done. I wrote a guest blog for their NYC launch and met with a few of their staffers while they were in town. I have used TaskRabbit to get two projects completed that had been giving me a headache. Read more
