Isaac has his eye on the Gulf states and residents are bracing for the storm. It’s always smart to be prepared and while it might be too late to get the WDR Roofing Company to make any necessary repairs to your roof, there are still a few things you can do before it hits so I’m posting this list to help you out.
Angie Hicks, founder of customer review site, Angie’s List gave me these tips to get your home and family ready for the storm.
What to do ahead of time:
1. Gather Your Documents – Get your insurance documents together and put them in a safe place – a place you’ll remember!
2, Program Your Phone – Have your insurance agent’s phone number stored in your phone so you can access it easily.
3. Know your Coverage – Understand what is covered on your homeowner’s insurance policy and what is not. If you don’t have any homeowners insurance, you certainly need to look into it, otherwise you’ll have to pay for the repair costs if your house gets damaged. Find some homeowners insurance quotes and ask the providers what’s included in the policy. You’ll want to pick the policy that covers you for as many scenarios as possible.
4. Snap Some Photos – Take photos of your home and it’s contents, be sure to include all electronics and other expensive items. This will assist you if you need to make a claim on your contents insurance. If you don’t yet have contents insurance, you should get it now to ensure you’re covered in any eventuality.
