Get Motivated With A Productivity Playlist

By now you’ve probably heard about the Coachella festival. I can’t avoid it — it seems like all my favorite celebs (like Giada) are there soaking up the sun and listening to some amazing tunes.

Coachella is an awesome annual music and arts festival that has been going on since 1999. This year’s festival inspired me to make up my own productivity playlist.  Listening to music can get you pumped up to get the mundane everyday to-do’s done, while having fun!

Playlist Inspiration

If you need a little inspiration to make an awesome productivity playlist of your own to get you through cleaning, working out, commuting and working –here’s a few sites:

8 Tracks: Need a happy playlist to lift your spirits? Then this site/app is for you. You can search by artists, or songs but the coolest part is that you can search through your mood. Sad, happy, party, or even a “Game of Thrones” mood (perfect to listen to before next Sunday’s new episode!)

Playlist.com: This site is a commercial-free radio where you can type in any artist, genre, or track. They have over 1000 genres so there is always something new to listen to if you have eclectic taste!

Slacker radio:  Driving to work or getting ready for happy hour, this site has a playlist for it all. They have their own “slacker stations” to choose from as well as “new and trending” so you can see what others are listening to as well. In their “my vibe” section they have playlists for everything from an energy boost to serious concentration time. Not feeling what they have? You can create your own stations and playlists to customize your music to exactly what you want.

Jog.fm: If you can’t get motivated for a run or workout, check out this site/app. They have different playlists for running, walking, jogging, or riding your bike. You can type in your “desired mile time” and they will give you songs to try to get you moving at the right pace.

Listening to music is an awesome to get motivated and knock out to-do’s! How does music help to keep you productive?  Please share your own playlist in the comments below.
