Do you have a hard time saying no when someone asks you for a favor or sends you an invitation to get together? You’re not alone. I do too.

I totally understand — sometimes you just suck it up and give your precious time away.

Why we say “Yes”

  1. Wanting to help — If you’re a people pleaser, saying no is not in your vocabulary.
  2. Not wanting to come off as rude — Many of us correlate “no” with an insult.
  3. To avoid conflict — It’s common to say yes just to please a friend or coworker.

Getting to Your Forgotten To-Dos

My friend Karen Rizzo, author of “Things to Bring, S#!t to Do.” – an autobiography in lists, had ‘learn Italian’ written on the bottom of her list for years. Other people have different goals like learning a musical instrument or running a marathon.

iphone-410311_1280If there is one thing organized people fear, it’s when life doesn’t go as planned. It’s because we make lists and detail everything out in order to leave as little room for error as possible. Sadly, no matter how organized you are, things can still go wrong.
