It’s My Blog’s 3rd Birthday!

Today is my blog’s 3rd birthday, my “baby” is now a toddler! I can’t believe how fast the time has gone and I have all of my awesome productive followers to thank for making this such a success and supporting me.

For today’s post I thought it would be fun to go back in time and see where it all began! I started the blog after my husband Jay and I found our first apartment in Manhattan. We had a checklist of all the things we wanted in that apartment. Now three years later — we purchased our first apartment in Manhattan (also with a checklist!)

I’ve learned a lot through writing this blog and it has been through the good, the bad, and the ugly! So here is a look back at some of favorite posts, along with a few mishaps. You grow from mistakes as long as you learn from the, right?

Oprah Winfrey has taught me so much about giving, being a good listener, and striving to achieve your goals. She’s been a part of my life since I began watching her show when I was young and has become more of a role model as I’ve gotten older.

She’s certainly given us a lot of wisdom over the last 60 years! Here are my 10 favorite pieces of advice from Oprah in honor of her 60th birthday:

My blog is two years old today! Happy Birthday! I can’t believe it — what started as a list to help me find an apartment has turned into one of the most fun things I’ve ever done.

Thank you to all who read regularly and all of you newbies too. This year I’ve learned that it’s OK to take a break here and there — and not beat myself up over it! I hope no one minds too much when I disappear for a few days.

Like some of my favorite things (wine!) in intend for this blog to get better with age! Here’s some of the upcoming projects that I’ll be working on to make this blog even more fabulous:

Posting more regularly with themed days! (Who doesn’t love a theme?)
Uploading more tips and tricks via video. (Sometimes talking is so much easier than typing. And I get to talk with my hands which speaks to my Italian heritage)
A Private Productivity Assessment Giveaway! (Yes, I will post more details next week but I want to help you get more productive and
Connect with my readers more often! (I’m thinking Twitter chats and more events with my Lists & Libations group)
