You’re Invited to My First Book Signing

NEW YORKMy book Listful Thinking has officially launched and I’m so excited. People have been sending me their ‘shelfies‘ (selfies with your book shelf!) with my book from all over the country. If you want to join in the fun please tweet me your picture!

Normally on this blog I share my list with you, but now it’s time to turn the tables! I’m doing a book signing in New York on Thursday, January 15th and I want you to bring me your lists!

I started my this blog to help people become more efficient with their time and make better lists. Now I can help you face to face.

So if there’s a burning list-making question or app discussion you’re dying to have with me – come on down! The book signing will take place at Book Culture, 450 Columbus Avenue, NYC at 7pm.

This is a brand new independent bookstore in Manhattan — you don’t see a lot of those these days!  So come out and support this brand new gem on the Upper West Side as well.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Why Did I Start This Blog? (And other Listful Questions)

I’m excited to share the first of what will hopefully be many interviews about my upcoming book, Listful Thinking.  I’m always grateful for an opportunity to talk about my love of lists with other people and help them become more productive. Recently I was invited on Blog Talk Radio’s Conversations Live to discuss what inspired me to start this blog and how to use lists at home specifically to get the most out of your day!

Here’s the interview!  I hope you’ll take a listen:

Subtract stuff from your life this New Year

subtractionAround this time of year we find ourselves adding more and more to our to do lists. I know I feel like 2015 hasn’t even begun and my list is already stacking up. Especially as my book is being published in January! If you are also feeling a bit overwhelmed maybe it’s time to start subtracting from your list instead of adding.

My friend Cass McCrory runs The Subtraction Project to help you do just that. What the Subtraction Project does is provide 30 days of actionable prompts to subtract the extra in your home, your inbox, your brain and your life.  It’s free so there’s no subtraction from your wallet.

The project starts on January 1st — so sign up soon to get a kick start on your new year. Even if you know you have a busy January ahead, don’t worry as each prompt will be short and sweet. They take between 5-15 minutes to complete. Cass is also going to feature my book on day 11, as that day focuses on to-do lists. So make sure to check it out.

What are you going to subtract from your life in 2015?

Stationery Entrepreneur Manages Her Life and Business With Lists

unnamedRunning a company and managing a family is not an easy feat. However, our featured list producer for this month does just that. In fact Bonnie Marcus launched her stationary company while she was pregnant with her first child. As a pregnant entrepreneur, she launched HMHB, where she blogs about pregnancy advice and writes about maternity products, like baby bottles, for other moms. She has been kind enough to answer a few questions and share some of her productivity tips.

1. Why do you call yourself a compulsive list producer?

As the owner of a very busy design studio, and mommy to 3 very busy little boys, I wouldn’t be able to last one day without having a “to-do” list of priorities in front of me! There is always too much to do & too little time to get it all done, but with a list of priorities, it is all much more manageable. Read more
