Checklist to Overcome the End of Summer Blues
As the summer draws to a close the cooling temperatures and waining sunlight can leave us feeling down. But it’s not over yet, there’s a chance for you to extend your summer experience and keep the good feelings going through into the fall.
Eat Summer Foods – While most summer foods are actually available all year round, they are undoubtably at their peak right now. So indulge in some tomatoes or strawberries while their still in season.
Have One Last Hoorah – While the weather is still bright and sunny it’s the perfect time to have all your friends over for a BBQ or go to the beach one last time and end the summer in style.
Reminisce – Go through your photos from the summer and pick some of your favorites to print out and put in an album or up on the wall.
Get Planning – Why not start thinking about next summer’s vacation? Planning can give you something to look forward to you and it never hurts to get started early. Or even just plan a fall getaway if you need more instant gratification.
Learn a New Skill – Everyone is in the “back to school” mode in September. Many new classes start in the fall so sign up for something you’ve always wanted to do like take a cooking class or learn a new language.
Go Back to Your List– Read back over your summer list and cross off all the things you haven’t had a chance to do yet. If you need inspiration – check out my pinboard on Pinterest.
