Shortlisted: You Smell Lemon Paper Soap

September 26, 2013/in Beauty, Health, Home, Tool for Success, Travel/by Paula Rizzo

Soap copyWelcome to the second installment of “Shortlisted” where I highlight my favorite most useful things. Because what good are fabulous things if you don’t share them?

Today’s item that makes my shortlist is You Smell Lemon Paper Soap!

I was recently introduced to this amazing soap and I will never leave my house without it in my purse again. I can’t count the number of times I’ve used public bathrooms and discovered they are out of soap. Hand sanitizer was great at keeping my hands clean, but it often left my hands dry and smelling harsh. Now I can just pull a sheet of paper soap out of my bag and my hands are left soft and smelling of lemon and verbena – yum!

Shortlisted: Sticky Notes for Your iPhone

September 20, 2013/in Benefits of List Making, List Making, Shopping, Tool for Success/by Paula Rizzo

shortlisted smallHappy Friday! Today I’m introducing a new feature called “Shortlisted” where I will highlight one of my favorite things each week. (Yes, a la Oprah.) Because what good are fabulous things if you don’t share them?

Sticky Notes for Your Phone

Just in time for the release of the iPhone 5s, the first item to be shortlisted are awesome post-it notes for your iPhone called “Paperback.”

I actually have a regular-sized sticky note on the back of my phone most days.  Just so I remember to do something when I walk through the door or it’s a good way to keep track of a few quick items I need to grab at Sephora or the grocery store.

These great stickies have a mostly-adhesive back so they lay flat on your phone at all times, making them perfect when I’m running errands and am constantly tossing my phone in and out of my bag.

Making Your To-Do List “Stick”

September 3, 2013/in Benefits of List Making, Increase Productivity, List Making, Saving Money, Saving Time, Tool for Success/by Paula Rizzo

Grocery ListSunday is my day for catching up on things I missed during the week, getting a head start on tasks for the week ahead, and getting to zero inbox

With a limited number of hours in the day, there is only so much that can be accomplished. I’m someone who hates to go to bed with a task left unfinished, but sometimes with a big empty Sunday ahead of me I can get a little ambitious. I’ve found though that if you set yourself up for small wins by limiting your to-do list you’ll feel more accomplished at the end of the day. It’s much easier to get 3 things done than 30. It’s just simple math – and I’m terrible at math but trust me, it’s true!

This method can be used to increase productivity at work, plan social events, and even limit overspending at the grocery store!

Not convinced? Here’s a list of reasons to limit your to-do list to a post-it: Read more

August 29, 2013/in List Making, Shopping/by Paula Rizzo

Summer is coming to an end and it’s back to business as usual. Given my love for lists, I thought it might be fun to feature some creative list and organization inspired products. I found some crazy stuff, including notebook paper and pencil socks! Am I the only one who would love to wear those? These are a few more of my favorite finds:

Do you always spend extra time trying to figure out what to wear? Does it ever feel like you don’t have anything to wear? I’ve mentioned before that laying your outfit out the night before can make your life just a little bit easier — but that may not change the “I’ve got nothing to wear!” feeling you might have when you stand in front of your closet. It also doesn’t help you build your closet.

I’ve scoped out a few options to help you get organized!
